We were delighted to be asked to help David Lloyd Leisure with their fundraising efforts as the Official Fitness Partner for Sport Relief 2014. They had a fun idea to create some giant tennis balls which would tour the UK, inviting the public to help roll the ball over a mile across each major city and make a donation. They certainly made quite an impact and crowds of people flocked to help push the balls along.
The tennis balls were four metres in diameter and weighed 30kgs. Each ball is big enough to fit over 100,000 normal-sized tennis balls within it! By using sealed air inflatable spheres we were able to make a big impression without incurring additional helium costs. Don’t they look great?
